About Us
The Children's House of Libertyville is open Monday through Friday from 7:15 AM to 5:15 PM, offering a nurturing and educational environment for children aged 6 weeks through 5 years. Our Extended Day Montessori Program is an opportunity for individualized and small group lessons that enhance academics and prepare the child for public school. This program is for our 4-5-year-old children. We feature a catered hot lunch, ensuring that children receive nutritious meals daily. As a Department of Children and Family Services licensed institution, we adhere to the highest standards of childcare and education. Additionally, we offer a diverse summer program, involving field trips, and enrichment programs such as Stretch N Grow, woodworking, and soccer. We are open year-round, allowing for consistent care and learning opportunities..
Our Teachers
At Children's House of Libertyville, our dedicated teachers are passionate about fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. Each educator ensures that each child is recognized as a vital part of our community and the classroom environment brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to early childhood education. Our teachers create an enriching atmosphere where children can explore, learn, and grow, emphasizing both academic and social development. With a passion for teaching and a focus on individualized instruction, we look to inspire curiosity and instill a lifelong love of learning.
Our Mission
The Montessori Philosophy of Education is one of respect for self, others, and the environment. We strive to create a space for the child to grow autonomously and independently, at their own pace. It is the goal of the school to meet the developmental needs of each child – social, emotional, physical, and intellectual within the context of the “prepared environment” essential to a Montessori education.
We understand the great amount of trust you place in us when you enroll your child. We strive to create an environment in which your child will thrive. It is the goal of the school to meet the developmental needs of each child – social, emotional, physical, and intellectual within the context of the “prepared environment” essential to a Montessori education. We aim to follow each and every child, meeting their social, emotional, intellectual, and developmental needs within the context of the Montessori-prepared environment.
